Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment: Conduct thorough assessments of injuries and provide effective treatment plans to facilitate recovery and prevent future injuries.
  • Prevention and Rehabilitation: Develop and implement prevention and rehabilitation programs to help athletes and individuals maintain optimal physical performance and prevent injuries.
  • Documentation and Communication: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
  • Education and Development: Educate patients, families, and healthcare teams on injury prevention, treatment, and management techniques to promote optimal health and well-being.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work collaboratively with healthcare teams, including physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive care and support.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Successful completion of MyMichigan Health and affiliate-specific orientation, new hire competency, and relevant education and experience in sports medicine or a related field.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Physical and Mental Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to stressful situations, including those involving public contact, trauma, grief, and death. The successful candidate must be able to wear personal protective equipment, move freely about the facility, and perform the functions of the job as outlined in the job description.
