Job Opportunity

Sobi, a global biopharmaceutical company, is seeking a highly skilled Medical Science Liaison to join our team in the United States. As a Medical Science Liaison, you will play a critical role in facilitating scientific relationships and collaborations with healthcare professionals, societies, and organizations in the rheumatology community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key thought leaders and healthcare professionals in the rheumatology community.
  • Exchange scientific information with external parties in an accurate, fair, and balanced manner.
  • Report field intelligence to Sobi, including competitive information, perspectives on compounds, disease states, and treatment landscapes.
  • Provide support to Sobi's clinical development and operations teams through site recommendations, site initiation visits, facilitation of communication, and accrual support activities.
  • Participate in or lead advisory board meetings at the local, regional, and national level.
  • Represent Sobi at medical conferences, engaging healthcare professionals and providing scientific coverage.
  • Develop and maintain an advanced level of knowledge about pertinent studies, compounds, and diseases that facilitate collegiate and scientific discussions with leading rheumatology/nephrology thought leaders.
Requirements
  • Accredited doctorate degree in a life-science or basic-science discipline (PharmD, PhD, MD/DO, DNP, or DSc).
  • Frequent travel by ground and/or air is required, with an estimated 70% time away from the remote office to support territory size and product support requirements.
  • Passion for science and teaching.
  • Ability to understand and effectively communicate scientific information, respond to inquiries, and address needs of key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success managing internal/external stakeholders and leading or influencing cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment, including strong teamwork and collaboration.
  • Proven track record of strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to shape and articulate a clear strategy/story.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Ability to initiate and maintain relationships throughout the medical community.
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive, constructive relationships with cross-functional internal team members.
  • Demonstrated high level of personal integrity, emotional intelligence, and flexibility.
  • Experience in relevant clinical practice a plus.
  • Understanding of the highly regulated bio-pharm industry environment, including legal and regulatory environments.
  • A minimum of 1 year of MSL experience.
  • Disease state knowledge, rheumatology, and rare disease preferred.
What We Offer

Sobi offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $150,000-$210,000 annually, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, STD/LTD, and life insurance benefits, and other health and wellness programs and offerings.
