Culinary Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Chef to join our team at Trios Health. As a Food Service Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Food Preparation and Service
  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including patient meals, catering, and retail offerings
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and served to the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation
  • Maintain accurate records of food temperatures, inventory, and production
• Customer Service
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, staff, and visitors
  • Respond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
• Inventory Management
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure that all food and supplies are ordered and received in a timely manner
  • Monitor and control food costs to ensure that they are within budget
• Teamwork and Communication
  • Work collaboratively with other departments, including dietary, nursing, and housekeeping
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and visitors to ensure that their needs are met

Requirements

• Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Two years of experience in food service or a related field required
• Certifications and Licenses
  • Food worker's card required
• Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
