Job Summary

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key leadership position within Catholic Relief Services, responsible for overseeing the agency's financial systems, policies, and processes. The CFO will lead the development and implementation of financial strategies that support the agency's mission and vision, while ensuring strong resource stewardship, operational efficiency, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement financial systems and policies that support the agency's mission and vision.
  • Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies that support the agency's goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the agency's financial reporting and analysis, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
  • Manage the agency's treasury and risk management functions, ensuring effective and efficient use of resources.
  • Develop and implement financial planning and budgeting processes that support the agency's strategic objectives.
  • Lead the development and implementation of financial systems and processes that support the agency's mission and vision.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of financial management experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior management role.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and leading teams.
  • Strong knowledge of financial systems, policies, and processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA and CPA a strong plus.
  • Experience in nonprofit management: strong knowledge of US government grant-making, regulations, investments, non-profit fundraising, and risk management.
