Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical Telemetry team at Sovah Health - Martinsville. As a PRN Tier III nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care hospital setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care using the nursing process, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
  • Document patient care given and monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Assign priorities to patient problems and collaborate with the care team to coordinate patient care.
  • Evaluate learning needs of patients and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Virginia State Board of Nursing or a Compact State.
  • AHA BLS certification required.
  • Previous experience in acute care hospital setting preferred.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
