Job Summary

This is a professional position in the Division of Quality and Accountability within the Agency for Persons with Disabilities. The successful candidate will oversee technology project implementation and ensure that technology solutions meet the needs of end users and maximize service delivery to clients served through the Agency.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate with colleagues and develop processes to ensure that projects throughout APD produce the desired results; collaborate with programmatic leadership to determine the best methods for identifying, prioritizing and tracking program specific projects; evaluate the use of data analytics to make business and process improvements, inform decisions and guide program direction; and will serve as the primary contact with Information Technology when conducting system builds and change management activities.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree OR 4 years of equivalent work experience in IT project management can be substituted on a year for year basis for the required degree. Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Knowledge of:
Project management tools.

Ability to:
Work with and facilitate cross-functional teams and work groups at all levels. Proactively identify problems and generate solutions. Balance multiple priorities and quickly adjust to changing priorities. Ability to make presentations. Plan and organize work. Prepare reports for management. Additional Information

Direct Deposit Program


As a condition of employment, a person appointed to a position in the State Personnel System is required to participate in the Direct Deposit Program.

Rather than receiving a paper paycheck, your funds will be deposited directly into your account at your financial institution. This will be accomplished by Electronic Funds Transfer. Banks, savings and loan associations, and credit unions are eligible to accept such deposits. Retirement funds are also required to be in the Direct Deposit Program.

Background Screening Requirement


It is the policy of the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities that applicants for employment undergo Level 2 employment screening in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 435, Florida Statutes, as a condition of employment or being permitted to serve as a volunteer.

Level 2 background screening shall include, but not be limited to, fingerprinting for Statewide criminal and juvenile records checks through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and Federal criminal records checks through the Federal Bureau of Investigation and may include local criminal records checks through local law enforcement agencies.

Pursuant to S , Florida Statutes, this position requires a background investigation, including fingerprinting.
