West Virginia Northern Community College is seeking a highly qualified Compressor Mechanic Instructor/Program Director to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching and developing the Compressor Mechanic program, as well as serving as the Program Director.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Compressor Mechanic classes and develop curriculum to meet industry standards
  • Coordinate and lead the Compressor Mechanic program, including program assessment and lab development
  • Assist in the selection of textbooks and materials for courses
  • Participate in service and advising during pre-registration, registration, and other special college events
  • Assist in the evaluation and supervision of students serving as lab assistants
  • Participate in institutional activities, such as college-wide events and committee meetings
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
  • 5 years' experience as a compressor mechanic
  • Prior teaching or training experience is preferred
  • Must be familiar with current professional industry regulatory and safety standards
