Job Title: Care Attendant

At Knute Nelson, we are committed to enriching the lives of everyone we serve. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Attendant to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Care Attendant will provide high-quality personal care and ancillary services to residents in our assisted living/housing environment. This includes providing assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as supporting residents with their daily needs and preferences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living, medication administration, and other delegated clinical procedures.
  • Support residents in maintaining their independence and dignity, while promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Collaborate with the wellness program to provide hands-on assistance with activities that promote the dimensions of wellness.
  • Assist with meal preparation, serving, and clean-up, as well as maintaining a clean and comfortable living environment.
  • Participate in special events and activities, and engage residents in meaningful relationships and activities.
Requirements:
  • A Minnesota CNA certification is preferred and may be required for some levels of assisted living.
  • Critical thinking, interpersonal effectiveness, and teamwork skills are required.
  • Must complete and pass a state required background study.
  • Able to physically perform the duties required by the position.
  • Required to have the ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, residents, and visitors.

LPN or RN
