About the Role:
Liquid Measurements and Controls (LM&C) is seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Fuel Equipment Technician Apprentice. In this role, you will gain valuable experience in assembling, maintaining, and repairing liquid fuel pump and metering equipment. You will also assist in the assembly of tanks on chassis, working alongside experienced technicians.
Responsibilities:
- Construct and assemble specialized equipment or mechanical/electrical components according to specifications.
- Diagnose and resolve reported equipment issues promptly and efficiently.
- Contribute to the assembly of fuel trucks and related equipment.
- Provide guidance to customers on various equipment options.
- Perform a range of tasks, including hydraulic system repair, pump and meter calibration, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and report on any encountered issues.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in using hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers, etc.) and power tools.
- Ability to adhere to established procedures and best practices.
- Strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Problem-solving aptitude.
- Good physical strength and stamina.
- High school diploma preferred; vocational school certification or apprenticeship completion is a significant asset.
- Must be willing to obtain Maryland, PA, NJ, NY, DE, VA Weights and Measures certification for Liquid and LPG.
