We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at the University of Missouri School of Medicine & MU Health Care. This individual will work closely with our cardiothoracic surgeons to provide high-quality patient care and support in the inpatient and outpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive patient care, including history and physicals, consultations, and discharge summaries.
- Assist in the perioperative management of patients, including pre-operative and post-operative care.
- Collaborate with attending physicians, residents, and medical students to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to the development of structure, process, and outcomes standards.
- May participate in clinical and cardiothoracic research, as needed.
- Nurse Practitioner:
- Master's degree in nursing required.
- Graduation from an accredited nurse practitioner program.
- Current licensure as a registered professional nurse in the State of Missouri.
- Document of Recognition as a certified nurse practitioner from the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of two years' experience as a nurse practitioner in an acute care area.
- Physician Assistant:
- Master's degree in physician assistant studies required.
- Graduation from an American Medical Association (AMA) accredited physician assistant program.
- Current licensure as a physician assistant in the State of Missouri.
- May possess a specialty certificate by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Minimum of two years' experience as a physician assistant in an acute care area or completion of post-graduate PA residency/fellowship.
- Competitive salary range: $90,251 - $147,285 annually.
