Job Overview
As a Data Science Leader, you will play a key role in driving the development of cutting-edge AI/ML solutions for healthcare. With a strong background in machine learning and deep learning, you will lead cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy innovative solutions that improve patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in AI, computer science, data science, or a related field, with 7+ years of industry/academic experience in machine learning or a related field. Proven advanced understanding of Deep Learning with applications in Time series Processing, NLP, and multimodal modeling is required. Additionally, expertise in state-of-the-art algorithms and topologies, including VAR, GNNs, GANs, Transformers, and LLMs, is essential.

The estimated salary for this role is $104,700 to $190,400 annually, based on local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and other factors. UnitedHealth Group offers a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contribution. This is a remote opportunity, and all employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.

Responsibilities
  • Drive end-to-end Machine Learning projects that have a high degree of ambiguity, scale, and complexity.
  • Build Machine Learning models, perform proof-of-concept, experiment, optimize, and deploy your models into production; work closely with software engineers to assist in productionizing the ML models.
  • Perform hands-on analysis and modeling of healthcare data sets to develop insights that increase business value.
