Pilates Group Fitness Instructor

University of Illinois Springfield is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pilates Group Fitness Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our fitness and wellness department, you will be responsible for teaching Pilates classes to our university community in a safe, responsible, and ethical manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead structured Pilates classes for students, faculty, and staff
  • Assist with the maintenance of Pilates equipment and facilities
  • Provide guidance and advice to individuals on their Pilates program
  • Assist in marketing and promoting Campus Recreation sponsored programs and events
  • Enforce facility and program policies as needed
Requirements:
  • Certification from a National Fitness Organization
  • Ability to conduct safe and effective Pilates classes
  • Ability to assist individuals in developing a safe and effective exercise program
  • Ability to modify exercises for special populations within class
  • Good communication skills with clients/participants and supervisor/co-workers
