About the Role

The University of Illinois Springfield is seeking a highly skilled Pilates Group Fitness Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our fitness community, you will be responsible for teaching Pilates classes to our students, faculty, and staff in a safe and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead structured Pilates classes, providing a supportive and inclusive environment for participants.
  • Assist with the maintenance of Pilates equipment, ensuring it is clean and well-maintained.
  • Offer expert advice to individuals regarding their Pilates program, providing modifications and adjustments as needed.
  • Inform patrons and assist in the marketing of Campus Recreation sponsored programs and events.
  • Enforce all facility and program policies, promoting a safe and respectful environment for all.
Requirements
  • Certification from a National Fitness Organization.
  • Ability to conduct safe and effective Pilates classes.
  • Ability to assist individuals in developing a safe and effective exercise program.
  • Good communication skills with clients/participants and supervisor/co-workers.
