As a Produce Associate at Walmart, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and freshness of our produce department. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain a clean, neat, and member-ready area, receiving and stocking merchandise in an organized manner. You will also be responsible for maintaining inventory levels, ensuring that there is no out-of-stock and over-stock products.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain a positive attitude by smiling, greeting, and thanking members
• Provide exceptional customer service to members across the club as needed, answering any questions they may have
• Maintain a clean, neat, and member-ready area
• Receive and stock merchandise in an organized manner
• Maintain inventory levels, ensuring that there is no out-of-stock and over-stock products
Requirements
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Preferred qualifications include experience with produce and a passion for customer service
What You'll Do
As a Produce Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining the quality and freshness of our produce department. You will work closely with the produce team to ensure that our members receive the best possible service. You will also be responsible for maintaining inventory levels, receiving and stocking merchandise, and providing exceptional customer service.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the products
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and help educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources
• Communicate effectively and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service
• Be flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas, tracking goods, maintaining in-stock levels, and controlling shrinkage in a timely manner
Be an Expert
• Understand the processes and specifications related to quality of various types of produce merchandise
• Prepare products according to established standards
• Maintain product safety and follow company sanitation guidelines
• Adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to produce quality
Be a Techie
• Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement
• Utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind
• Adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them
Be an Owner
• Drive the performance of the area
• Utilize digital tools
• Use perpetual inventory management techniques to stock and rotate department products
• Ensure quality and date control standards
• Eliminate waste
• Guide peers and provide attention to customer needs
