Job Title: Street Maintenance Worker

Job Summary:

The City of Burleson, TX is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Street Maintenance Worker to join our team. As a key member of our Public Works department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and repair of city streets, parking lots, drainage facilities, and rights-of-way.

Responsibilities:

* Perform work necessary for the maintenance and repair of city streets, parking lots, drainage facilities, and rights-of-way
* Operate heavy equipment used in the maintenance and repair of streets and drainage systems
* Train personnel in repair and safe and proper use of heavy equipment
* Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent
* Valid Texas Class C driver's license with good driving record
* Ability to lift up to 90 lbs
* No experience necessary - entry-level position

Preferred Qualifications:

* One or more years of experience in maintenance and repair of city streets and drainage facilities or related field
* Valid Texas Class B driver's license with good driving record
* Ability to obtain Texas Class A driver's license within 6 months from hire date

Certifications and Licenses Required:

* Must have a Class C Texas driver's license with good driving record and be able to obtain a class A Texas driver's license within 6 months from hire date

Work Environment:

* Work is performed in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to changing weather conditions
* May be required to work in confined spaces or at heights

Physical Demands:

* Ability to lift up to 90 lbs
* Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
