Position Overview:
As a pivotal member of the healthcare team, you will be responsible for managing global transfer requests, including the coordination of emergency air evacuations and effective communication with international clients.
This role requires a deep understanding of the BH International marketplace, demonstrating clinical expertise across all support areas within the Patient Logistics Center (PLC), while fostering ongoing process enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:- Operationalize requests from international clients for Emergency Department visits.
- Oversee the management of international patient visits and their subsequent disposition.
- Assist the BH Maritime Clinic with urgent international client requests.
- Provide immediate support to the BH International Hospitality team in liaising with physicians, international insurance entities, cruise lines, and all global clients.
- Issue Medical Parole letters as necessary.
Encourage a culture of excellence, transparent communication, and positive interactions among all Broward Health personnel.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's degree in nursing; BSN preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of relevant nursing and supervisory experience required; 2 years in Emergency Department, Critical Care, or Trauma preferred.
- Credentials: Valid State of Florida Registered Nurse license.
- Certifications: HCP-CPR and basic computer skills.
Refer to the 'Healthcare Provider (BLS) & Advanced Life Support Courses' policy for additional training prerequisites.
