At Alamance Community College, we are committed to providing high-quality education to our students. We are currently seeking an Adjunct Instructor to join our English, Communication, and Humanities Department.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in the subject matter or a related field, with experience teaching hybrid and web-enhanced courses using Moodle or similar LMS systems. They will also possess excellent communication skills, the ability to establish effective relationships with faculty, staff, and students, and be up-to-date on technology and methods of teaching with technology.
We offer a competitive salary range based on qualifications, estimated to be around $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications. The position is part-time, with classes taught in traditional seated, online, and hybrid formats on multiple campuses, including local high schools.
Responsibilities:- Teach curriculum courses in the subject matter in both University Transfer and Associate in Applied Science degree areas
- Develop course plans, tests, and identify student learning outcomes
- Maintain accurate records of student work and attendance, grading, and returning student work in a timely manner
- Counsel students regarding their grades and progress in the course
- Support the Department, Division, and College goals
