The Jay, Autograph Collection is a luxury hotel located in the heart of San Francisco's Embarcadero neighborhood. Our hotel is a celebration of the city's rich history and culture, with a modern twist. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Rooms to join our team.
Job SummaryThe Director of Rooms is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel's rooms division, including front office, guest services, housekeeping, and laundry. This is a key leadership role that requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with a diverse team of associates.
Responsibilities- Supervise and manage the rooms division team, including front office, guest services, housekeeping, and laundry.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction and increase revenue.
- Manage the hotel's room inventory, including room assignments, room status, and room maintenance.
- Oversee the hotel's laundry operations, including laundry scheduling, laundry supplies, and laundry equipment maintenance.
- Collaborate with the hotel's sales and marketing team to develop and implement sales strategies and promotions.
- Monitor and analyze the hotel's financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with hotel standards and regulations.
- Minimum 3 years of hotel management experience, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse team of associates.
- Knowledge of hotel operations, including front office, guest services, housekeeping, and laundry.
- Knowledge of hotel revenue management and financial analysis.
