The Opportunity

We are seeking an Associate Procurement Specialist to join our Abbott Nutrition Direct Procurement Operations team. This role is crucial in applying procurement expertise to implement best practices and strategies across various procurement categories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for operational and transactional procurement activities.
  • Manage the creation and oversight of blanket purchase orders and vendor management within various ERP systems.
  • Address operational challenges and resolve invoice discrepancies while managing daily supply issues.
  • Support the qualification of new commodities and generate reports to assist the procurement team.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute category strategies and support procurement initiatives.
  • Engage with diverse suppliers to foster business relationships and ensure compliance with corporate policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or Finance.
  • 0-3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet applications and ERP systems.
