Job Summary

The Montgomery County Pennsylvania is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Juvenile Probation Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the juvenile probation department. The successful candidate will provide direct supervision to probation officers, ensuring that they are equipped to handle the complex needs of juvenile offenders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and guide probation officers in their daily duties, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Monitor and review the progress of each probation officer's caseload, ensuring that juvenile offenders' needs are being met and addressed in a timely manner.
  • Conduct caseload audits and routine case reviews to ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement training programs for probation officers, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departmental staff to ensure effective communication and coordination of services.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree and 5 years' experience as a juvenile probation officer or equivalent experience in the field of the criminal justice system.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff.
  • Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures, as well as the Juvenile Act and Juvenile Rules of Court.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
