Clinical Support Services Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Support Services Assistant to join our team at Northwell Health. In this role, you will play a critical part in coordinating visits between patients and clinicians, scheduling procedures, and delivering instructions. You will also assist in the acquisition, transcription, and distribution of clinical requests for service, as well as receive patients.
Responsibilities:
- Aid tasks related to patient scheduling, including confirming, coordinating, and providing technical support for patient visits.
- Assure confidentiality of patient information and medical records.
- Prepare lab requisitions for lab samples according to laboratory destination; label, prepare, and store lab samples in accordance with required laboratory specifications; ensure collection of lab specimens by appropriate lab courier.
- Collect and organize supplies, ensuring all work areas are restocked appropriately; review and restock crash cart supplies and log/record routinely as directed, and inform team leaders regarding expired emergency drugs.
- Assist clinicians in all clinical observations/information by using relevant software.
- Serve as a liaison, to coordinate information between clinicians and facilities, patients, and other key personnel.
- Collaborate with team leaders to ensure all quality control measures have been addressed.
- Enhance the patient experience, and be responsible to achieve patient satisfaction.
- Perform related duties as required.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 0-1 years of relevant experience, required.
Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $26.48-$29.71/hour.
