Job Summary

Summit Medical Group is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) to join their team at Fort Loudon Family Medical Center. As a key member of the clinical staff, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our physicians and patients.

Responsibilities
  • Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for examinations and procedures according to physician preferences.
  • Record vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, height, weight, etc.
  • Perform phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, and other procedures as needed.
  • Assist physicians with procedures, administer medications, and conduct patient education.
  • Handle phone nursing duties, including triaging, pre-certs, referrals, and prescription calls.
  • Perform clerical duties to support physician workflow, including contacting patients about test results and scheduling appointments.
  • Maintain stocked, neat, and clean exam rooms and common work areas.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical Assistant Certification required.
  • Six months of phlebotomy and clinical experience required.
