Batch Production Specialist

Job Description
Volt is currently seeking a skilled Direct Hire Batch Maker to join their team in Riverside, CA.
As a key member of the production team, the successful candidate will be responsible for operating cook kettles, monitoring fill operations, and maintaining efficient machinery operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate cook kettles using standardized formulas to prepare food products
Monitor and maintain fill operations that meet BRC program standards
Maintain efficient operation of machinery while supporting batching and closure processes
Process recipes in a timely and accurate manner
Manage and read recipes, understanding ingredients, batch temperatures, quality testing, and product characteristics
Maintain traceability of all ingredients added to batches
Follow safety regulations and procedures
Collaborate with QC to test finished batches for viscosity, taste, pH, and color
Make necessary adjustments to achieve proper levels of viscosity, taste, pH, and color
Load mixers with the correct weight for each recipe batch
Monitor product quality by maintaining required temperature check logs
Conduct inventory checks throughout the shift
Sanitize machines and batching area
Adhere to HACCP, Allergen Control Program, GMPs, product specifications, and QA plans
Requirements:
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment
Follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for prolonged periods, and climb stairs as needed
High School Diploma or GED preferred
2 years' experience as a Batcher/Blender in a manufacturing environment
3 years of working experience in a food manufacturing plant required
One year's experience in a technical service or QA role, preferred
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Pay Rate: $20.00- $26.00 per hour
