Nutrition and Wellness Professional

Sodexo is seeking a highly skilled Nutrition and Wellness Professional to join our team as a District Registered Dietitian. This exciting opportunity will allow you to support Dining Services at 8 campus locations within South Dakota state.
As a District Registered Dietitian, you will be responsible for growing to include additional campuses as the business continues to expand. We are flexible regarding office locations anywhere in South Dakota, but preference will be given to individuals who are commutable to Sioux Falls, Brookings, and Vermillion.
This role reports directly to the District Manager and will serve as the subject matter expert within Dining Services, the University, and the Campus Community. Key responsibilities include:
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct tabling sessions across the campuses and create regular communications to motivate and engage the population in healthy eating habits;
• Work with nutrition issues related to food allergies, weight management, and disordered eating patterns, as well as other medical issues requiring meal selection assistance;
• Remain knowledgeable of emerging trends in nutrition and dietetics;
• Partner closely with Executive Chefs and/or café management teams in selecting healthy menu items, evaluating sales, and determining what can be offered differently;
• Work with athletics teams to provide nutrition counseling and education;
• Participate in campus and community events and develop and deliver presentations as needed to support client goals;
• Support food service operations as needed;
• Provide direction for planning strategic goals, standards of the brand, and maintaining effective communication with other managers and inter-department liaisons.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a candidate who meets the following qualifications:
Requirements:
• A Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND);
• Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire;
• Credentials as required by state(s) of practice;
• 3 years of work experience in health care, including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics;
Compensation
The estimated annual salary for this position is around $83,000.
