About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Maternal Fetal Medicine department as a skilled clinician. This role requires critical thinking skills, obtained through fetal and/or neonatal ICU experience. You will work closely with our MFM team, consisting of physicians, genetic counselors, sonographers, and another MFM RN.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver nursing interventions to assigned patients, consistent with stated medical plans of care, utilizing the nursing process to assess, implement, and record patients' responses in the medical record.
  • Schedule patients' appointments, tests, and procedures via our online computer system or telephone, and reinforce physician instructions in person and through telephone contact.
  • Provide patient education and document patients' responses in the medical record.
  • Ensure appropriate patient consents and authorizations are obtained for research and/or medical treatment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program.
  • Specialty areas may have increased experience requirements, as dictated by clinic or standard of care.
  • REGISTERED NURSE Licensure as Registered Nurse by Board of Nurse Examiners for State of Texas Upon Hire.
  • BASIC LIFE SUPPORT Through course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Upon Hire.
