We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team at Pyramid Healthcare Inc. in Radford. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to individuals struggling with substance use disorders and mental health concerns.

Pyramid Healthcare Inc. has been a leading provider of behavioral health services for over 20 years, operating over 80 programs across 8 states. Our mission is to provide high-quality care and support to individuals and families affected by substance use disorders, mental health issues, and other behavioral health challenges.

Your Role

As a Mental Health Support Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Completing intake processes for new clients and ensuring a smooth transition into our program
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client documentation, including medical records and treatment plans
  • Observing and documenting client self-administration of medication as needed
  • Collaborating with colleagues to coordinate client activities and ensure seamless service delivery
  • Providing crisis intervention and emergency response services as required
  • Ensuring a safe, clean, and organized physical environment that promotes client well-being
  • Assisting with dietary needs and providing support for client comfort and safety

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • A passion for providing high-quality care and support to individuals struggling with mental health and addiction issues
