Job SummaryWe are looking for a dedicated and experienced RN to join our team in the Oncology Care Unit. As an Oncology Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients undergoing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiation therapy. You will work closely with our oncology-certified nurses and cancer experts to create and implement a care plan that meets each patient's unique needs.
Responsibilities- Assess, monitor, record, report, and follow through on symptoms or changes in patients' conditions
- Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and modify the plan of care
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for a wide variety of surgical oncology cases
- Work closely with oncology-certified nurses and cancer experts to create and implement a care plan to meet each patient's needs
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license
- Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification
- Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification preferred (required after 1 year of employment)
