Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Color Buff to join our team at Conn-Selmer Inc. As a Color Buff, you will be responsible for applying a high-luster finish to instruments and components using various buffing techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Apply buffing compounds to rotating buffing wheels and perform buffing operations on instruments and components.
  2. Use a variety of hand tools and manufacturing equipment to safely remove surface imperfections and achieve a high-luster finish.
  3. Inspect work-in-progress components and completed instruments to ensure quality standards are met.
  4. Move materials, supplies, and components between production operations.
  5. Perform manual "ragging" operations to remove imperfections from instruments and components.
  6. Comply with Eastlake Policies and Procedures, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
  1. Regular attendance and a strong work ethic.
  2. Manufacturing process aptitude and ability to make sound judgments.
  3. High degree of skill and dexterity, with ability to hold and maneuver component parts and instruments at various angles.
  4. Ability to use a variety of hand tools and manufacturing equipment.
  5. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment.
