The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) at Sarasota Memorial Health Care System embodies the organization's mission, vision, and values, adhering to the Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program. This role typically works in an outpatient clinic or area with set hours, collaborating with the multidisciplinary health team to provide high-quality, cost-effective advanced nursing care to patients within the APRN's scope of practice.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine duties of a registered nurse, in addition to advanced practice responsibilities.
- Function as part of the health team to provide patient care, adhering to privileges approved by the credentialing committee.
- Require advanced degree from an accredited school or college of nursing and approved APRN board certification.
- Must be certified as an APRN by a recognized national certifying body, such as the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
- Demonstrated clinical competency skills.
- Knowledge of state, federal, and local health care agencies and programs.
- Effective leadership and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication and strong analytical skills.
Masters Degree in nursing from an accredited school or college of nursing.
