Job Title: Machine Builder

GP Reeves Incorporated is seeking a skilled Machine Builder to join our team. As a Machine Builder, you will be responsible for building machine components and systems, modifying electrical enclosures, aluminum plates, and extrusion frames.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Comply with all safety rules and regulations.
  • Modify electrical enclosures using provided drawings and layout templates.
  • Modify aluminum plates and build extrusion frames using provided drawings and layout templates.
  • Use Hydraulic/Pneumatic and Electrical schematics to build machine components and systems.
  • Communicate with peers about jobs, drawing discrepancies, completion of jobs, etc.
  • Utilize checklists and open issues list to ensure complete and quality product.
  • Overtime or changes in normal shift may be necessary based on customer orders.
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years machine building experience.
  • Comfortable and able to work in an industrial environment.
  • Good mechanical skills including attention to detail.
  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Experience with hydraulic/pneumatic and electrical systems.
  • Using light power tools including drill presses and jigsaws.
  • Valid driver's license to deliver and pick up parts from local vendors.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work effectively with little or no supervision.

  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment.
Operations Physical Requirements:
  • Able to stand and work for extended periods of time.
  • Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis.
  • Able to move around in a factory environment sometimes in tight spaces in and around equipment.
  • Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds periodically.
