Position Overview:

As a contracted SLP through our agency, you will have the chance to serve in diverse healthcare environments, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, educational institutions, rehabilitation facilities, and skilled nursing homes.

This adaptable role allows you to select assignments that align with your schedule and preferences.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Evaluate and identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders across all age groups, from children to seniors.
2. Create personalized treatment strategies grounded in assessment results, patient aspirations, and evidence-based practices.

3. Deliver direct therapeutic services to tackle patients' communication and swallowing challenges, which may include issues related to articulation, language understanding and expression, voice disorders, fluency issues, and dysphagia.

4. Employ a range of therapeutic methods and techniques, such as articulation therapy, language intervention, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and dysphagia management, to enhance patients' functional capabilities and overall quality of life.

5. Inform patients, families, and caregivers about communication and swallowing disorders, available treatment options, home exercise regimens, and strategies to improve communication and swallowing safety.

6. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, nursing staff, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.

7. Maintain precise and current documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in electronic health records (EHRs) or other specified systems.



Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid and current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the relevant state(s).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
- At least one year of clinical experience as an SLP in a pertinent healthcare environment is preferred.
- Strong skills in clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and treatment planning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a talent for building rapport and fostering therapeutic relationships with patients and colleagues.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and work schedules as necessary.
