About the Role

RIM Architects is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Architect to join our team in Anchorage. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading architectural design projects and coordinating project design efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Leadership: Develop creative design concepts, presentation and design drawings, and details for architectural projects.
  • Technical Detailing: Develop and represent lead technical detailing on projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Specifications: Prepare and edit technical specifications, including Division 00, to meet project requirements.
  • Communication: Utilize effective communication techniques to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Lead multi-discipline project teams, coordinate design details with production teams, and participate in document production and construction administration.
  • Design Refinement: Refine project designs, including team leadership and design concept development.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with Project Management, architects, and consultants to ensure project success.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited program.
  • Experience: 8+ years of post-graduate experience in architecture, including substantial experience in developing details, planning, and design support.
  • Certifications: LEED Accreditation and licensure in a U.S. jurisdiction, with the ability to obtain Alaska registration.
  • Skills: Proficiency in technical detailing, writing and editing technical specifications, building systems, detailing, and technology.
  • Software: Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Personal Qualities: Positive attitude, dependability, willingness to work and grow in a team environment, proactive listening, and time-efficient self-starting skills.
