Position Overview:
The Senior Financial Strategy Consultant is tasked with overseeing and strategizing the company's financial risk management approach, as well as addressing overall funding and liquidity requirements. This role encompasses the management of cash flows, including both deposit and disbursement accounts, as well as maintaining relationships with banking institutions and handling foreign exchange operations.

Role Responsibilities:
The Senior Financial Strategy Consultant will provide expert Finance and Treasury insights to enhance value and mitigate risks across Chevron's global operations, including business units, regions, and joint ventures. Key responsibilities include:
  • Acting as the primary liaison and expert for all Finance and Treasury matters for business partners.
  • Delivering timely advice to business partners, focusing on assessing and managing financial risks.
  • Participating as a subject matter expert in complex financial transactions, such as commercial settlements and asset transactions.
  • Supporting strategic business initiatives by offering expert guidance on financial advisory and decision-making services.
  • Overseeing the overall cash management and funding requirements of business units to optimize financial resources.
  • Facilitating approvals from Senior Finance Management for necessary transactions.
  • Promoting informed decision-making through comprehensive financial analysis and business insight.
  • Maintaining productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver functional value and support organizational goals.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Treasury, Finance, or Business Advisory roles.
Preferred Skills:
  • Proven experience in providing financial expertise for complex transactions, including financing negotiations and asset management.
  • Experience in Treasury cash and risk management.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities across various projects while prioritizing effectively and meeting deadlines.
  • Capability to thrive in a dynamic environment, influencing decision-making at senior management levels and negotiating favorable outcomes with external parties.
  • A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to foster collaborative relationships with diverse teams across Chevron's global operations.
  • Experience in the oil and gas sector, with an MBA being a plus.

Relocation and International Considerations:
Relocation is not offered for this position, and only local candidates will be considered. Expatriate assignments will not be entertained, and Chevron is unable to sponsor employment visas for this role.
