About the Role

This position plays a vital role in supporting student learning and academic success at Lone Star College. As a Part-Time Librarian, you will be responsible for providing information services, promoting library resources, and contributing to a positive learning environment.



Key Responsibilities

  • Provide research assistance and instruction to students, faculty, and staff
  • Develop and maintain library collections, including print and digital resources
  • Collaborate with faculty to integrate library resources into course instruction
  • Support student success initiatives and participate in library events
  • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in library services


Requirements

  • Master's degree in Library Science or related field from an ALA-accredited institution
  • Minimum 3 years of library experience in higher education, preferably at a community college
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
