In collaboration with school counselors, Educational Psychologists serve as advocates for the well-being of students, providing essential support for their academic and personal growth.

The Educational Psychologist is responsible for overseeing the execution of case study evaluations and actively participating in Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings and collaborative problem-solving sessions aimed at creating systems, programs, and services that enhance students' social, emotional, and academic achievements.

Working alongside educators, families, students, and community members, the Educational Psychologist fosters positive educational settings.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and analyze findings for students while engaging in IEP meetings and team discussions.
- Contribute to the development of programs that promote the integration of social skills, coping mechanisms, and problem-solving strategies within the classroom.
- Attend individual education planning and placement committee meetings as necessary to assist in identifying special education needs.
- Ensure the completion of case study evaluations.
- Participate in school or program-related activities as required.

Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral Degree in Educational Psychology.
- State-required psychologist license and/or certification.
- PDE Certification in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Strong understanding of learning processes, effective instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs, and the ability to evaluate their effectiveness.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong organizational, problem-solving, and collaborative abilities.

STATE-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

MO Requirements:
- PDE Certification in Missouri.
- State license in Missouri.
- Psychological Examiner Certificate or School Psychologist Certificate.

Physical Requirements:
- Visual and auditory acuity are essential for delivering assessment, intervention, and consultation services.
- Occasional lifting of materials and equipment weighing less than 25 pounds.
- Ability to maintain emotional stability under pressure.
- Must be capable of responding appropriately to emergency situations in an educational environment.

  • Must be adaptable to various environments, which may include exposure to allergens and other conditions.
  • Potential exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
