Electrical Control Systems Engineer

This is a remote position with a salary of $90,000-$120,000 per year.
As an Electrical Control Systems Engineer at Atlas OT, you will be working across industries to provide outstanding Operational Technology related programs, interfaces, documentation and support. Your work will take you from assembly lines to well heads, datacenters, beverage facilities, and even managed SCADA services - all in the same week. Our team is expected to learn and grow to be proficient across multiple skillsets while becoming an expert in 2-3 key disciplines. The role requires excellence as an individual contributor as well as working as part of a larger team.The job involves providing technical expertise for the design, development, and implementation of control systems for various industries. You will be responsible for creating schematics, programming PLCs, and developing software applications. Additionally, you will be involved in troubleshooting and optimizing existing control systems to improve their performance and efficiency. Your strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate complex ideas effectively will make you a valuable asset to our team. Required Skills and Qualifications
- Electrical training or certification
- Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherNet/IP)
- Experience with PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens)
- Familiarity with control cabinet design and electrical panel fabrication
- Ability to read and create electrical schematics
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Benefits
This is a contract-to-full-time position offered with a higher base hourly rate to compensate for contractor-procuring their own insurance and benefits. Contractors are typically compensated for travel time and per diem, with most travel expenses covered by the company.
