As a member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will work under the supervision of the Clinical Manager and function according to the State Nurse Practice Act, nursing policy and procedure, and our Mission and Philosophy.

**Job Summary**

The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) will provide nursing care and other functions as assigned or delegated by the Clinical Manager. This includes taking vitals, measuring statistics, obtaining lab samples, helping patients with activities of daily living, assisting with equipment, and maintaining infection control.

**Responsibilities**

- Take blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration according to established procedures.

- Measure intake and output, height, and weight.

- Obtain routine lab samples not requiring laboratory personnel.

- Help patients with bathing, combing hair, brushing teeth, shaving, putting on stockings and/or slippers, dressing, ambulation, and toileting.

- Assist patients with equipment for their treatment and help them move, transfer from bed to chair, or transport them to other departments for testing or treatment.

- Maintain infection control by following proper protocol in avoiding the spread of germs and spores which transport disease.

- Observe and report to assess the progress of the patient as well as any needs the patient might have for medical intervention.

- Remove potential hazards which could cause accidents.

- Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.

- Set up patients for meals, assist with meals if needed, or feed if unable to do for self.

**Requirements**

- Previous healthcare experience preferred.

- CNA Certification (ND State Nursing Assistant Registry).

- Current certification in CPR within orientation period and renewed annually.

- Attend in-service/meetings and keep current on work-related issues.

- Positive and effective skills in dealing with patients, families, visitors, co-workers, providers, and other hospital staff.

- Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate behavior consistent with our Mission Statement.

**Pay Information**

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $15.56 - $21.40 per hour, depending on experience. We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
