Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer to lead our nursing team at Catholic Health Services. Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Strategic Planning: Develop and implement nursing strategic plans that align with the hospital's mission and vision, and ensure seamless integration with other departments.
  • Nursing Practice and Quality Improvement: Foster a culture of excellence in nursing practice, and lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Staff Development and Management: Develop and implement programs to recruit, retain, and educate nursing staff, and ensure effective management of nursing resources.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with executive management, medical staff, and other clinical leaders to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Accreditation: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and professional regulations, and maintain accreditation standards for nursing services.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Master's degree in a healthcare-related field, or DNP required; current license in the State of New York as a Registered Professional Nurse; certification in leadership preferred.
  • Leadership Experience: Progressive leadership experience in a Magnet facility, with a strong track record of improving patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, with experience in budgeting, financial management, and strategic planning.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
