Key Responsibilities:

Inspectors are tasked with performing regular inspections, testing, servicing, and preventive maintenance on electrical and life safety product lines, as well as comparable products from other manufacturers.

How You Will Achieve This:

  • Work with low-voltage wiring and associated devices for low-voltage equipment operation.
  • Complete Service Acknowledgements with accurate coding through communication devices such as laptops and/or hard copies.
  • Adhere to a structured inspection schedule.
  • Input, retrieve, and archive inspection documents using a laptop.
  • Carry out minor repairs with minimal oversight.
  • Provide technical training to fellow inspectors and trainees.
  • Ensure timely completion of assigned inspections.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma.
  • 1+ year of experience with low voltage electrical systems.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Fire and/or Life Safety Systems.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and operational manuals.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
  • Aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing necessary repairs.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Proficiency in using PCs, including MS Excel/Word and mobile applications.
  • Capability to obtain NICET level 1 within 12 months.
  • Physical ability to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Able to work in challenging positions, including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer needs.
  • Demonstrated high level of customer service.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Commitment to adhering to safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and a quick learning ability.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards.
  • Willingness to work overtime as necessary to fulfill customer requirements.
