Key Responsibilities:

Inspectors are tasked with performing regular inspections, testing, servicing, and preventative maintenance on electrical and life safety product lines, as well as comparable products from other manufacturers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working with low-voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of low-voltage equipment.
  • Completing Service Acknowledgements with accurate coding through communication devices such as laptops and/or hard copies.
  • Adhering to a highly structured inspection schedule.
  • Inputting, retrieving, and archiving inspection documents via laptop.
  • Executing minor repairs with minimal oversight.
  • Providing technical training to fellow inspectors and trainees.
  • Completing assigned inspections punctually.
  • Performing additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in low voltage electrical systems; experience with fire and/or life safety systems is preferred.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and maintain a clean driving record.

Preferred:

  • Experience in interpreting blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and operational manuals.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot systems and perform necessary repairs.
  • Capability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Proficiency in using PCs, including knowledge of MS Excel/Word and mobile applications.
  • Ability to obtain NICET level 1 certification within 12 months.
  • Physical capability to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Able to work in various positions, including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
  • Flexibility to work weekends as needed to meet customer demands.
  • Exemplary customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of working independently.
  • Commitment to adhering to safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills, positive demeanor, and quick learning ability.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license that meets company standards.
  • Willingness to work overtime as necessary to fulfill customer requirements.
