The Don Watson Academy is a state-recognized institution dedicated to special education, catering to students aged 6-18 with social emotional challenges. The average student body consists of 40-50 individuals, including those in the Residential Program and approximately 30-35 Day Students from local communities.
Your contribution:
As an Educational Support Specialist, you will collaborate closely with the classroom educator to facilitate instruction and provide guidance to students, aiding in their academic, social, and emotional growth. This role offers a pathway for professional advancement through comprehensive training in special education, with future prospects for those aspiring to become special education teachers.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- 40 hours per week: 7:30am - 3:30pm; 12-month benefited position.

Incentives:
This position is eligible for a Sign-On Incentive of $2,500 within the first year of employment, distributed as follows: $500 after 3 months; $500 after 6 months; $1,500 after 12 months.
