The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered healthcare to its members. We are seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team at our Capitol Hill Medical Center.

In collaboration with the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Mid-Atlantic States, we provide a unique healthcare delivery model that offers advanced technological tools and comprehensive practice support. Our physicians are salaried, without the pressures of alternative payment models or fee-for-services.

As an Emergency Medicine Physician with MAPMG, you can expect:

  • A 0.8FTE position, equivalent to 32 hours per week, with a competitive salary
  • Non-traditional Emergency Medicine opportunities, including Observation Units staffed by hospitalist teams
  • Differential pay for physicians working all nights or all weekends
  • A collaborative mixed-specialty department, comprised of emergency medicine, family medicine, and hospitalist physicians working together and learning from each other
  • 8-10 hour shifts
  • Advanced Urgent Care or Urgent Care settings
  • Limited overnight coverage
  • No Behavioral Health Observation

Minimum Requirements:

  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified or Eligible in Emergency Medicine
  • Currently licensed or able to obtain licenses in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia
  • Work visa sponsorship is available for eligible applicants

The starting annual salary for this position is $296,000, which considers an applicant's skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, training, market data, and other relevant factors. In addition to the salary range above, MAPMG offers rich benefits that add substantial value to the total compensation package.
