Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraeducator/Teacher Aide to join our team at BlazerJobs. This role will provide support to a 14-year-old male student with emotional impairments and behaviors, requiring a candidate who is comfortable with de-escalation techniques and can work effectively in a 1:1 setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide academic and emotional support to the student in a 1:1 setting
  • Assist with transportation to and from the EI Day Treatment Program in Redford, MI
  • Develop and implement strategies to support the student's emotional and behavioral needs
  • Collaborate with the student's educational team to ensure a comprehensive support plan
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience working with students with emotional impairments and behaviors preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a 1:1 setting and provide de-escalation techniques
  • Comfortable accompanying the student during transportation
