Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraeducator/Teacher Aide to join our team at BlazerJobs. This is a full-time position that requires a strong commitment to supporting students with special needs.

  • Job Summary: The successful candidate will work closely with a 14-year-old male student with emotional impairments and behaviors, providing individualized support and accommodations to ensure a successful learning experience.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Provide one-on-one support to the student, assisting with daily tasks and activities.
    • Develop and implement strategies to de-escalate challenging behaviors and promote a positive learning environment.
    • Collaborate with the student's educational team to ensure consistent support and communication.
    • Accompany the student during transport to and from the EI Day Treatment Program in Redford, MI.
    • Participate in regular meetings with the student's family and educational team to discuss progress and goals.
  • Requirements:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in special education or related field preferred.
    • Experience working with students with emotional impairments and behaviors.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Comfortable with de-escalation techniques and crisis management.
