About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Simulation Engineer to join our team at Actalent. As a Simulation Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing gating and feeding designs for various castings, driving yield improvements while maintaining casting quality, and implementing design-for-manufacturing principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement casting simulation models to optimize casting processes
  • Collaborate with product engineers and other engineering departments to ensure seamless integration of simulation results into product design
  • Analyze simulation data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase casting quality and yield
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest simulation software and technologies, and provide training and support to other team members as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or Metallurgy)
  • 1+ years of simulation experience, preferably with MagmaSoft/Magma
  • Strong mechanical engineering background, with experience in 3D modeling and CAD design
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of casting and foundry processes
  • Experience with metallurgy and materials science
