Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

The Student Health Nurse provides comprehensive healthcare services to students, including first aid, health education, and administrative support for student health records. This is a 10-month position that requires a BSN RN with a minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in general medical-surgical areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care and referral as needed for illness and/or injury for students.
  • Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with student care.
  • Maintain health records, including initial data gathering, track immunizations, current medications, allergies, and past medical and surgical history.
  • Contribute to campus wellness initiatives through outreach, education, and programming regarding health and wellness topics.
  • Serve as a point of contact within the Student Health Center, maintaining confidential and accurate student record management.
Requirements:
  • BSN RN with a minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in general medical-surgical areas.
  • Excellent physical assessment skills and communication skills.
  • Maintain current PA Nursing license, CPR certified, and CEU's for annual licensures.
  • Experience working in higher education and/or school nursing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • ER, primary care, or college health experience.
  • Keep up to date on topics and skills in college health, join Southeastern Pennsylvania College Health Nurses Association.
