About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Polysomnographic Specialist to join our team at Houston Methodist. As a specialist in sleep disorders, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment of patients with sleep-related issues.

The successful candidate will have experience in performing polysomnographic procedures, including diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, such as Multiple Sleep Latency Testing (MSLT), Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT), and Parasomnia studies. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.

In this role, you will be responsible for educating patients on sleep study procedures, preparing patients for procedures, and ensuring the collection of accurate data. You will also be expected to maintain accurate records and reports, and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives within the department.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have a graduate degree from an accredited program in sleep technology or a related field. Additionally, you should hold certifications as a Registered Polysomnographer Technologist (RPSGT) or a Registered Respiratory Therapist Sleep Disorder Specialty (RRT-SDS). A minimum of one year of experience in a sleep disorders laboratory or center is preferred.
