Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Laboratory Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory testing, contributing to high-quality patient care.

Job Details:
Location: Not specified
Schedule: 4 shifts of 10 hours with rotating weekends, typically from 8:30 PM to 7 AM.

Duration: This is a contract position with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology is required.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in clinical laboratory testing.
- ASCP or AMT certification is mandatory; however, non-certified associates with relevant experience may be considered if they are eligible for certification.

Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the acceptability of specimens for testing based on established criteria.
- Execute routine and advanced technical procedures in accordance with departmental protocols.
- Operate and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to maintain optimal functionality.
- Make informed technical decisions regarding testing and problem resolution.
- Prepare, assess, and validate new reagents or controls.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of test results to support quality patient care.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
- Manage testing bench supplies and assist with specimen processing as needed.

Work Environment:
- Maintain a safe laboratory environment and adhere to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment.

Flexibility:
- Willingness to work overtime or adjust shifts based on organizational needs is essential.
