We provide both inpatient and outpatient medical services throughout Southwest Michigan.

Scope of Work

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide therapy to patients based on their individual needs and medical direction. You will also provide patient/caregiver education and arrange for adaptive equipment as needed.

You will perform evaluation procedures to assess the level of disability with regard to scope of practice, goals, and a plan of treatment, and make appropriate recommendations.

You will provide a treatment program and education to restore and return maximal function to the patient. You will assess the effectiveness of treatment and modify goals/treatment methods as needed to meet changing needs.

Qualifications

We are seeking a highly qualified Speech Language Pathologist with a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited speech therapy program. A Master's Degree or Doctorate from an accredited speech therapy program is preferred.

At least 2 years of relevant experience in speech therapy is required. Certification in Speech Language Pathology (CRT-Speech Language Pathologist) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is also required.

A valid driver's license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) are also required.

Primary Location

The primary location for this position is Watervliet Hospital, located at 400 Medical Park Dr, Watervliet, MI.

The department name is Inpatient Rehab Therapies - Watervliet.

This is a part-time position with a variable schedule, including occasional weekends.
