Job Summary

El Camino Health is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist II to join our team. As a Radiation Therapist II, you will play a critical role in assisting in localizing tumors, participating in treatment planning, and delivering high doses of ionizing radiation to patients in accordance with prescription and instructions from the Radiation Oncologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in localizing tumors and participating in treatment planning
  • Deliver high doses of ionizing radiation to patients in accordance with prescription and instructions from the Radiation Oncologists
  • Work under the direction of the Manager of Radiation Oncology
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school graduate with a 24-month course in radiation therapy technology or a graduate of a college course in radiation therapy technology
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist in Radiation Therapy or equivalent as recognized by the ARRT
  • Eligibility for certification by the ARRT, with a requirement to pass within the first six months of employment
  • At least six to fifteen years of continuous employment as a Radiation Therapist
Working Conditions

This role requires:

  • Medium work, requiring standing the majority of the shift with the ability to lift up to 35 lbs. frequently
  • Work involves sitting, kneeling, climbing, and squatting
